How to download your Citi statement as a PDF
On citi.com
- Sign on to Citi Online.
- For a credit card, open "Statements (PDF)" on the account page. For checking or savings, open the statements section for that account.
- In Recent Statements, pick the statement date and choose the PDF format.
- Download it — the file opens in a pop-up, so pop-ups need to be allowed.
Citi's own pages give different retention figures for different products, so treat the exact window as account-specific. Card statements older than the recent list have to be requested, and once ready they stay downloadable for about 7 days — worth collecting them in one go.
How we check a Citi statement is right
Citi card statements are a charges-and-payments list rather than a balance ledger, so the printed previous balance, payments, purchases and new balance are what we foot against: the rows we extracted have to explain the move from one balance to the next. Bank account statements that carry a running balance get the stronger treatment, where every adjacent pair must reconcile row by row. Either way the arithmetic has to close, and a file that does not reconcile is flagged rather than quietly handed to you.
Citibank is not one of our per-bank verified parsers, so we do not quote an accuracy percentage for it. The reconciliation result for your specific file is shown on screen before you download.
Things worth knowing
- Older card statements are not instantly available — they have to be requested, take a day or two to appear, and then expire from the download list after about a week.
- Electronic statements are not offered for every product. Business accounts managed through Citi Online, IRAs and stand-alone CDs are excluded, so there may be no PDF to convert for those.

Citibank Conversion FAQ
Is the Citibank statement converter free?+
Yes. You can convert Citibank PDF statements to Excel or CSV for free — no signup or credit card required to start. Higher daily volumes are available on a paid plan.
How accurate is the Citibank to Excel conversion?+
Every conversion is checked against the statement's own balances (our reconciliation gate) and shown to you in a preview before you download, so you can confirm the Citibank numbers are right. A conversion that doesn't fully reconcile is flagged for review.
What formats can I export my Citibank statement to?+
Excel (.xlsx), CSV, a Fortnox-style CSV (for manual bookkeeping), and JSON. You can also choose newest-first or oldest-first ordering to match what your accounting software expects on import.
Is it safe to upload my Citibank bank statement?+
Yes. Files are encrypted in transit, processed in the EU, and deleted within 24 hours — we never permanently store your transactions. The service is GDPR compliant and built in Sweden.
Do I need to install any software to convert Citibank statements?+
No. The converter runs entirely in your browser — upload the Citibank PDF, preview the extracted transactions, and download your spreadsheet. Nothing to install.
