How we check a Bank of America statement is right
Bank of America splits a statement into labelled sections and prints a subtotal under each one, plus a beginning and ending balance for the period. Those printed subtotals are the anchors: the rows we pull out of each section must add up to the section total the bank printed, and the sections together must bridge the beginning balance to the ending balance. Where a statement also carries a running balance per row, we use that instead, because checking every adjacent pair is stronger than checking a subtotal.
